Summer 2009

We closed the racing season with a 3000km round trip to the Chianti region of Italy, where we took part in the classic bicycle race Eroica. Thanks to Bregan and Brooks for hooking up Cicli Berlinetta.

The gallery begins with a couple of collectable classic bikes, a Legnano and a Hetchins 'Curly'.

Check this out: an actual suitcase as given to every rider in the 1956 Tour de France, containing a great many medicaments and some explanations of their use and side effects. This was kept for prosperity by a rider who wants to preserve his anonymity.

Finally, some snapshots of the race and colourful contestants at L'Eroica 2009. We'll be going again in 2010, for sure!
